A full-time opportunity has become available for an experienced Principal Civil Engineer. The role is to provide engineering and project management services to enable the successful delivery of projects. This role also provides leadership to the civil engineering team.
Key Responsibility
- Provide leadership to the civil engineering team to ensure work meets the required standard as well as supporting their professional development.
- Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to the wider Engineering group.
- Comply with all safety requirements for job sites and ensure all required site inductions and tickets are current.
- Technical input into engineering design and reporting on a range of projects across the engineering discipline.
- Certification of engineering designs.
- Coordination and management of project resources, both internal and external.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets to ensure on time and in budget delivery.
- Maintain regular contact with project clients and other stakeholders to provide progress updates.
- Be proactive in identifying and addressing potential changes to project scope/costs.
- Complete all reporting requirements including monthly Project Managers report, updates in Synergy, progress reporting.
- Develop professional relationships with our clients to ensure we retain and grow our client base.
- Complete monthly project management activities, including:
- Prepare and authorise invoices.
- Processing of progress claims.
- Preparation of progress certificates.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- 10+ years’ experience in a Senior Engineer role.
- Relevant professional accreditations.
- Experience and qualifications to the satisfaction of the General Manager.
