Townsville showcased to South East Queensland

Over 330 attendees packed into Parliament House last night to attend a Townsville Enterprise networking event that well and truly shone the spotlight on Townsville North Queensland.

The event was held in Brisbane to showcase the region’s economic progress and potential, as well as to connect senior political, industry and business leaders during an evening of networking and regional updates.

Not only did the audience comprise of over 150 North Queensland representatives who made the journey south, but southern based business and industry leaders and a significant number of Ministers and Members of Parliament including the Premier of Queensland the Hon. Annastacia Palaszczuk and the Opposition Leader the Hon. Tim Nicholls MP.

The Premier of Queensland was the keynote speaker at the event, which also featured Property Council Queensland President Laurence Lancini, Minister Assisting the Premier on North Queensland Coralee O’Rourke, Townsville Enterprise Chair Kevin Gill.

A panel discussion was also hosted involving JCU Vice Chancellor Professor Sandra Harding, Watpac Northern Area Manager Bryan Glancy, O2UDP Managing Director Pat Brady, North Queensland Cowboys Corporate Sponsorship Manager Brent Tate, and Townsville Enterprise Director Bridget Woods.
