About the Role

Key Responsibility
  • Undertake design work and complete detailed calculations for project designs
  • Monitor and report on the status of work requests;
  • Preparation and presentation of plans and documents, as well as digital data suitable for submission to Local or State Authorities and to meet client requirements;
  • Liaison with relevant Local and State Authorities.
​​​​Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Civil Engineering; and/or equivalent or higher tertiary qualification.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the civil design space;
  • Broad civil design and drafting exposure from concept design (DA) through to detailed design for construction (CC/SWC);
  • Experience with Australian road infrastructure design and urban development;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and to establish work and deadline priorities;
  • Sound knowledge of civil engineering design, including practical knowledge, principles and methods of engineering, relevant codes and standards
  • Proficiency in the use of information technology, such as AutoCAD, 12d Model, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Civil Site Design, Drains, and sound ability in the Microsoft Office suite and other applicable software packages;
  • Ability to advise on technical problems;
  • Strong time management and able to plan workload and achieve set objectives;
  • Effective communication and sound interpersonal skills.
