About the Role

An opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated person to join our friendly team in Orange, NSW. As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering complex and meaningful environmental engineering projects. You’ll mentor junior staff, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibility
  • Lead and manage environmental engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Provide technical certification and mentoring to team members.
  • Coordinate internal and external project resources.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and scope changes.
  • Conduct field inspections, site assessments, and prepare impact documentation.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of environmental guidelines and modelling software (e.g., GIS, MUSIC).
  • Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
Required Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in environmental engineering and project management.
  • Relevant industry memberships (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in environmental engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in GIS and environmental modelling software.
  • In-depth knowledge of NSW environmental legislation and impact assessment processes.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Adaptability to change and evolving project requirements.
