An opportunity has become available for a Senior Waste Water Engineer to join our team based in our Brisbane office. The role of Senior Water and Wastewater Engineer encompasses the project responsibility for client deliverables as value added outcomes relating to water and wastewater project engagements.
This role will provide direction to the planning, management and delivery of directed projects in a timely manner through effective teamwork, technical expertise and communication. . The scope of this role is principally technical and will involve project management, business development while assisting in developing and strengthening the Premise market position.
Key Responsibility
- Preparation of Proposals and Project Reports;
- Conduct field inspections and assessments as required;
- Identifying project priorities and monitoring the status of commissions;
- Assessment and documentation of clients’ requirements and preparation of contracts;
- Assessment and monitoring of the status and performance of projects with a focus on quality delivery of contract requirements within the specified budget and timeframes;
- Assist the Project Manager with preparation of invoices including monitoring sub-contractor accounts and internal recoverables;
- Liaison with the client, approval authorities and other third-parties as required to deliver positive performance and the contracted requirements;
- Promote Business Development opportunities.
Required Experience
- Degree in Engineering (Civil/Process/Environmental) that is acceptable to Engineers Australia (EA) as meeting the criteria for EA membership as a professional engineer;
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or able to acquire quickly
- 10+ years experience with exposure across a range of water and/or wastewater infrastructure delivery aspects being:
- Project Scoping and Initiation
- Contract Development/Negotiations/Engagement
- Design Delivery
- Construction and/or Construction Management
- Project Finalisation and Handover
Preferred Education and Experience
- Specific experience with water and/or wastewater treatment plant infrastructure delivery
- Exposure to water and/or wastewater process engineering
- 15+ years experience within the Engineering discipline
- Postgraduate qualifications and/or experience in areas such as Engineering Management, Project Management, Construction Management, Business, etc would be well regarded
