Congratulations to Flinders Shire Council on the completion of the Hughenden Recreational Lake project. Located adjacent to the local showgrounds the $11 million 22ha man-made recreational lake has officially opened, offering economic opportunities as well as recreational activities for the community.
The lake contains a number of key features such as a boat ramp, fishing jetty, waterfall feature and picnic facilities. With the successful application for funding of the project through the federal government, Premise was awarded the project management contract.
Officially opened by Jane McNamara, Mayor of Flinders Shire and The Hon Michael McCormack Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, pictured with Pat Brady, Executive Director and Michael Griffey, Structural Engineer.
