Quorn Park Solar Farm

Premise was engaged to conduct an EIS to support a state significant development application for a proposed solar farm, including battery storage in 2019. Following this Premise provided additional information with regard to visual impacts, surface water including water flow and downstream flooding as well as a temporary carpark and vehicle movement over the contraction period.

The Solar Farm is currently under development and expected to be completed in 2053. The farm will be 80 MW and also include a 20Mwh Battery Energy Storage System. Once complete, the facility will provide enough electricity to power around 30,000 homes. The battery storage would provide dispatchable solar power to the national energy marker which will assist in the transition from gas-fire and coal power stations to renewable energy.
